KUALA LUMPUR 26, NOVEMBER 2011 – Five promising DJs in Malaysia will compete in front of a panel of industry experts in Heineken Found @ Thirst DJ Search in Mist Club this Saturday, 26 November. The champion will not just take home RM10,000 in cash but form a career overnight by sharing the same stage together with the World’s No. 1 DJ – Tiësto in Heineken Thirst in the Sepang International Circuit this 10 December.

Heineken discovers nation’s next top DJ in Found @ Thirst DJ Search The five finalists ranging from an advertising executive, videographer to a hairstylist were chosen from dozens of applications in this year’s Heineken Found @ Thirst DJ Search. DJ Frozensteps, Nick Haydez, Tommy Cham, Major and the only female competitor, Darling Sabrina, comes from a diverse music style and all possess the X factor that landed them in the top five spots in the competition.

Nick Haydez – Student | Style: Energetic Rave

Tommy Cham – Advertising Executive | Style: Deep House, Techno & Electro

These five contenders will be evaluated by a panel of judges which includes a roster of top names in the Malaysian music industry:
DJ Prem – 8TV, Fly FM presenter and Mist Club’s resident DJ
Fono – Singapore based progressive trance expert & Found @ Thirst 2003’s champion
Phil K Lee – Found @ Thirst 2010’s champion
Ben Law of Future Sound Asia – Heineken Thirst’s organiser
Blastique – Founder of Mile High Sounds DJ training academy, legendary scene DJ & mentor of the winner and runner up of Found @ Thirst
Joey G – Host of Found @ Thirst DJ Search finals, Heineken Thirst Studio 2006’s

“We’re searching for the attitude, inventiveness & the X factor of a great talent that has become a hallmark of Heineken’s music events,” explained Ben Law of Future Sound Asia, the organizer of Heineken Thirst.

“Heineken Found @ Thirst DJ search forms part of a wider series of efforts by Heineken to discover and nurture local music and creative visionaries across platforms including Heineken Thirst, Heineken Green Room & Heineken Green Space,” added Jasmine Foong, Marketing Manager of Heineken Malaysia.

The Champion of Found @ Thirst DJ Search 2011 will receive one of the best prize packages in the country:

- RM10,000 in cash
- Play the opening set in Heineken Thirst, December 10 in Sepang International Circuit
- Production training at Mile High Sounds DJ & music academy
- Host their own Heineken Green Space, an exclusive party organised for them by Heineken’s team of music & event experts
- Topman & Topshop’s shopping vouchers
- The Top Five will also be exclusively dressed for the finals by Topman & Topshop.
