DJ Afick

AFICK AFRO ‘ICE’ 20, a fresh upcoming DJ from Kuching,Sarawak has involves himself in the DJ’ing world at the age of 18. People will notice his presence by only looking at his big and bushy hair style where he got the name Afick ‘What the hair?’ from his friends. This guy has an influence by listening Hip hop music back in high school and never exposed with dance music at all. Learned to play turntable insanely fast where it only took him a couples of month to master it. It is clear that he’s destined to be a DJ because of being a really fast learner; In the process, his wide selections of songs enlarge massively after being trained intensely by the CORE Lounge residencies DVJ Zam.

His first debut is on New Year’s Eve Countdown Party 2010 at LINKS. Soon after the debut, he got booked to play at several pubs/Clubs in Kuching and private parties at hotels. His ability to spin different types of dance music & pumping the crowd makes him known in the clubbing scene in Kuching.He usually plays big room sound from David Guetta, Laidback Luke, Diplo, Afrojack, Chuckie, Angger Dimas, Sidney Samson and others featuring electro sounds and up to date R&Bs.Now,he is a resident at Piccadilly’s on Thursday & Friday. His favourite local DJs are LAPSAP, Goldfish, Bo aka Mr. Fluff, DJ Fuzz and Mixing in Action.

He always entertained the crowd by being the emcee while popping his turntables. He will take control of the mad atmosphere in the room and always got the time to spin the requested songs by the clubbers.
