Benjamin Tam aka DJ Dapimp got his big break in DJing in march 2009 when he was crowned as a resident DJ at Infekted Melbourne alongside hardstyle heavyweights such as Karpe DM, Soul T, KYP & DJ Em to name a few. Mixing a unique blend of hardtrance and hardstyle brought many partygoers back for more week after week. Since then he has also made regular guest appearances in most established rave clubs around melbourne including PHD, 3D, HSD, Digital DB, King of Clubs and a few others.

During mid 2010, he also won the Amnesia DJ Competition in melbourne alongside DJ K*N*G. As a result he earned resident DJ spots at Amnesia events and also currently at the weekly Red Dragon events alongside melbourne rave icons including LCK & Astroboy. Apart from playing in clubs, Dapimp also makes regular radio appearances around melbourne. These includes Trancegression on Kiss FM Melbourne, Rated R radio show on SYN FM, and Till the Dawn on Lion FM.

A native of Malaysia, he has followed the footsteps of very few before him to become one of Melbourne's most sought after hardtrance and hardstyle dj today. He has also played alongside big acts that include Brooklyn Bounce, Stana, Dave Joy, Bass Agentz and most australian DJs which include Hardforze, Nomad, Dr Willis and many more.
