Andy Warburton

Andy Warburton has been a resident DJ at the best bars in Ibiza for over six summers, including Café Mambo, Sugar Sea, Pacha Terrace and two years at Café Savannah on the sunset strip playing eight hour sets daily alongside some of the most respected names in Dance Music such as Pete Tong, Sasha, Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Carl Cox and many more. It was Cafe Mambo where Andy first started to get recognized for his sublime talent behind the decks, playing such differing styles of music from Balearic Disco and Chilled Cocktails Classics in the daytime right through to Blissed Out Down-Tempo Electronica at sunset and beyond, where at night time Mambo turned from a sleeping giant into ‘the’ most influential pre-club bar on the island attracting thousands of party-goers and the cream of International superstar Deejays who would come and perform for free in what turned out to be the place to be seen.... Ibiza proved to be a platform of opportunity as Andy has played his infectious mix of Deep Balearic House Music at all the Ibiza super clubs including Amnesia, Pacha, Privilege and Space. Having played regularly for institutional Ibiza club nights such as Clockwork Orange, Cream, Dance Valley, Renaissance and Viva, Andy decided it was time to move onto pastures new. This led to regular guest spots in the most prestigious bars and club backrooms throughout the country including a residency at London’s fashionable Sosho clubbing bar (A one time winner of the prestigious Time Out magazine ‘Bar Of The Year’).

To top things off, in 2005 Andy was hand picked to represent Hed Kandi globally as one of their resident Deejays which has since seen him do various guest mixes for the Hed Kandi radio show broadcast in the UK on Galaxy FM and Ministry Of Sound Radio also syndicated to 14 other Radio stations around the world. Andy is no stranger to the limelight, over the years appearing on FTV, MTV Asia, MTV Europe, Rapture TV, V Club TV and more recently he featured on Hed Kandi’s very own Kandi Vision filmed at the ultra glamorous Le Queen nightclub in Paris. His vast knowledge of music has also proved invaluable when it came to co-compiling Serve Chilled, Beach House and Nu Cool CDs over the past two years leading to his own Nu Cool / Beach House Radio show each and every Sunday afternoon 4-6pm (GMT) on Ministry Of Sound Radio. 2008 is only young yet Andy has already co-compiled the brand new Kandi Lounge compilation and provided the exclusive Digital DJ mixes available worldwide for download.

Having established himself as one of the major Hed Kandi Deejays Andy shows no sign of slowing down and has been clocking up the air-miles traveling the world week-in week-out rocking packed main room dance floors at various exotic places across the globe such as Amsterdam, Dubai, Ibiza, Manila, Marbella, Dublin, Rotterdam, Zagreb, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Sao Paolo, Oslo, San Francisco, Boston, Toronto, Sharm El Sheikh, Cologne, Bogota, Venice, Moscow, Munich, Barcelona, Almaty, Casablanca, Taipei, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Crete, Verbier, Zante, Toulon, Gothenburg, Colombo, Berlin, Zurich, Hong Kong, Verbier, Jakarta, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul and Paris playing the now world famous ‘Hed Kandi’ sound.
