Chris Bailey
Mixing up tapes and making radio shows from his bedroom at a young age, Chris Bailey’s love for music began to transform into a passionate career in radio and deejaying with a stint at FOX FM in Oxford, U.K. In 2000, a fresh-faced Chris started work at the legendary NRG Radio station in Bournemouth. The next five years saw Chris progressing from evening presenter to the head of programming at the radio station. In the summer of 2005, Chris leapt at the chance to play at the world-renowned Café Mambo in Ibiza. During this time, he ran a heavy schedule keeping up deejay commitments by flying back to the U.K. twice a month, working as a presenter on the White Isle, recording ‘live’ sets for ‘Radio 1’s Essential Mix’ with U.K.’s legendary DJ Tiesto, and interviewing industry heavyweights such as Armin, Paul Van Dyk, Pete Tong and Roger Sanchez for a variety of international radio and TV projects.
The go-getter deejay thereafter took on the opportunity to become the resident for Hed Kandi playing all over the U.K. and Europe, and guest slots in Ireland, Brazil and Bulgaria. Deejaying aside, Chris has produced his own tracks which have gained interest from the likes of BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and Kidology records. Chris currently heads up Ministry of Sound London’s radio team and produces syndicated shows for stations around the globe.
