Far East Movement featuring The Cataracs, Dev performing Like A G6. The Far*East Movement (also known as FM) is a rapping, songwriting, and music event producing group formed in 2003 in Los Angeles, California, consisting of Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, and DJ Virman. They put together the first multicultural live music event in Koreatown, Los Angeles to benefit a drug rehabilitation center in the their community called "Movementality". FM's first claim to fame was their song "Round Round" featured in the Hollywood blockbuster, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and its subsequent soundtrack, video game and DVD. Since Round Round, they’ve been featured on various other network shows including CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, HBO’s hit show Entourage, and Finishing the Game (a featured film at Sundance 2007). They were invited to perform on Power 106's Powerhouse 2009, one of biggest Hip-Hop concerts on the west coast, performing with the line-up including Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Sean Paul, New Boyz, Pitbull, Lil Jon, LMFAO, Ya Boy, Flo Rida, and the Black Eyed Peas. Moving to England at 17 to study performing arts Norwegian born, Camilla Romestrand soon was picked up by Zomba Music. Her creative talents, cool attitude and sex appeal coupled with multi platinum selling producer, Nicky Cook, encouraged her to form the band, Dolls House. Romestrand toured the country with her brand of sleazy rock and roll and won accolades in 2007 as London's best-unsigned band.
NME Magazine wrote : “Romestrand is so sexy that she jellifies the legs of every boy and girl watching”.
Flash forward to 2010; Camilla reinvented as a nickname, Eddie “The Gun”, comes with what is to be one of the summer's biggest singles. “Don't Be Afraid” is featured in the film Chain Letter, with 3D portions produced by James Cameron (open Nationwide October, 2010). Part 1 of this two part release will feature the original version, along with remixes by some of the world's best up and coming producers. Part 1 will be released on iTunes and all major digital platforms on Slanted Black Records, August 3, 2010.
Part 1 includes remixes from DJ QDO, Ellis Miah, Bonjour Hi!, Dante and Shlavens & D-Lav, delivering a wide range of dance floor magic from fidget to anthemic floorfillers, along with downtempo mixes that will have everyone looking for the ghost in the darkness.
