DJ Funkayrol aka Khaivu
Khairul (k-RuL) Azhar for him music is like a drug to him which he can’t live with the motto ‘ NO MUSIC NO LIFE ‘ . His dream come true become a disc jockey with support from the closed ones and his brother DJ Jony (Phu5ion/WKIB/LMD/Bass Punk) where both of them playing for private parties with their friends.

In 2008, After being recognized by Anowl (Loops Collective/Resistive/WKIB/Bass Punk) they were given a slot at Passion Club in KL where the weekly night called CHEMISTRY organized by Bionic DJ Academy where Low (Loops Collective/Take Off Records) runs it.

With the passion of music and djing, fUnkaYroL loves plays variety sounds of Electronic Dance Music where he more specialized on Minimal to Deep House until Tech House.

In 2009, After playing a clubs around KL and PJ he awarded BEST NEW COMER DJ in Clubbing9, a Malaysia Dance online website which voted by clubbers plus he was a 1st runners up for Turn it Up Radio Station DJ Competition where hosted by Joey G and Gabriel. Not forgetting he was 1st runners up for Decks Dare 3 DJ competition in KL. Along the way, he has been recognized and work along with fellow DJ’s with Raysoo (Love International), Ian Ross (Futuredisco), Nicky C (220V Recording) Alam (OMP) and Loki (Unstable Sounds).

Towards end of the year, he and his brother DJ Jony alongside with DJ Az-1 (Phu5ion/Loops Collective) formed PHU5ION Music Event runs label event management with the infamous night such as Phangan Sunset series, Tuesday Tunes and Fiesta Picnic.

He was so surprised and honored to been nominated for BEST NEW DJ and Fiesta Picnic for BEST CLUB NIGHT in 2010 for at Choons Awards a Malaysia Dance Music Awards.

He will never forget his fellow DJ friends who has been supporting him throughout his dj-ing carrer such as Hebbo (Minimalaysia), Elf, Stormtroopers (LMD/WKIB), Nazkimo (WKIB/Bass Punk), CINTA, Misterarrifin (Defector), Mac (Loops Collective/Resistive), Epong (WKIB/LMD/Bass Punk), Mixing in Action, Hightech (BHS), Lally (Minimalaysia/Soundbox), Zam Sedastar and many more.

In 2010 itself, he met nYL (CRS) where to form a duo called SOUNDKOD with Shah Purebreed (CRS) to experience the experiment with the current sounds of Techno tunes to bring the dance music scene to the next level.

For k-RuL, he will never stop to dream for what he wants and archive more in his DJ-ing career where he believe there’s a long way to go. See you guys on the dancefloor, party save. Xoxo =)
