A very ambitious DJ who wished to build his own empire by being one of the well known DJs in the music industry in Asia and International. DJ Matt realized his love and passion towards Dance Music and started to expose himself in DJ-ing in 2007 on chasing his aspiration. By linked up with Royale DJ Academy/Excessive Records, under the leadership of his guru, well known DJ Bryan Burger, was indeed the right choice to enhance his DJ-ing expertise and expand his knowledge in making impressive choices of his music.  His local music influences are including DJ Raysoo, DJ Gabrielle, DJ Zaskar and DJ Victor G.

This former Event Executive discovers his ability in DJ-ing by crashing into random parties and fell in love with the mechanism theory of dance music. His curiosity of wanting to chase and feels the essence of what music is all about, however did not just stop there. He has developed his confidence by entering DJ competitions back in Kuala Lumpur and he was one of the semi finalists in Pioneer DJ Battle 2008 in Zouk, KL.

His enthusiasm towards these beats and bass tempo has generated him to an extraordinaire DJ from other DJs in town. Despite playing new and fresh released tracks in clubs, his music range covered tech house, minimal, deep house and anything between the house genres.  DJ Matt is more comfortable in taking his prodigious musicality in dance music to soaring new heights nevertheless silencing his detectors and keeping the crowd satisfied with every vibes and tones of his schizophrenics mix. His music influences are mainly inspired by International DJs including Ritchie Hawtin, Nic Fancculi, Marco Corolla, The Fire, Karrootte and Sven Vath.

In becoming one of the best DJ in town, DJ Matt never stop producing qualities music which putting higher hopes that people understand underground house music and want the crowd to always support the local Music scene in this Industry. Other than being well-known, DJ Matt wishes to perform on the International Stage, such as Love Family Park, Berlin.

DJ Matt has slowly form his name and fame through massive events by spinning at numerous clubs and private parties in Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia including Blue Note Club Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort Kota Kinabalu Sabah, Romance of the 3 Kingdom Solaris Mount Kiara, Simone’s Bar TTDI Plaza Damansara, Shenanigan’s Hyatt Regency KK, Rave Club KK and a few clubs in Town. On the same note, he was recently invited to spin for ‘Breeze Magazine Soft Launching’ in April 2009 in Brunei Darussalam and other weekly event such as ‘Clash of The Titans’ featuring DJ Kiki at Rave Club Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in March 2009.
