DJ Biggie

Dinesh Kumar, known to many as DJ Biggie is one of the youngest DJ's to have risen to stardom in Malaysia. At merely 17 years of age, he graduated from both highschool and the prestigious Playaz Universe DJ School with dreams of revoluting Malaysia's approach in DJ-ing

Combining his charismatic personality and turntablist skills with the Serato, Pioneer CD-J or even an entry level SL1200 turntable, Biggie never fails to rock the crowd with the precise ease of a seasoned performer. His penchant for performing live was brought to light when he achieved finalist positions in DJ battles hosted by Vestax and Pioneer. DJ Biggie subsequently won the JUICE DJ Quest in 2004 which earned him the respect of his fellow peers and made him a DJ to be watched out for. He has also been a show DJ for local hip-hop heavyweights, Phlowtron, performing live on stage with them on various occasions.

Biggie's diversity is clearly demonstrated in his turntablist for underground rap groups to opening international concerts. With so much talent under his belt and powered by years of experience, he attained residency positions at many clubs in the city of Kuala Lumpur. You can find him rocking the house on Wednesdays(Soul Candy) at Loft, Fridays(Lollipop) at Mist and Saturdays(Jump off) at Cynna Bar. Catch him alongside MC Poi or MC Syze for showtime because this triple team has raised sales, packed in clubs and given parties many clubbers refuse to forget.

To the suprise of none, his tremendous talent in turntablism presented him the opportunity to be part of the prestigious Kartel Hitmen collective, a group of higly accredited DJ's in the Asian Pacific region. DJ Biggie focus has now shifted to an entirely new dimension of music production. Currently working on a DJ mixtape and producing tracks for various artistes in Malaysia, DJ Biggie is tipped to be the next big thing to hit the Malaysian music scene.
