DJ Laze
DJ Laze was born and raised in Penang, Malaysia. He started DJing at the age of 19 in the year 2002, starting off as a trainee Dj in V2 Dance Club. At the same time, he was a member of local underground hip-hop group “Ill Symphony”. He specialized in the field of Cantonese Mc among all the group members. On 2003, The Ill Symphony have signed into the production company “The-Bazement” to appear in the 2nd compilation album called “Malaysian Fusion X Part 2”. Laze was involve with 3 tracks in this compilation album and one track featured in the album was produce by Laze himself and was also interviewed by Malaysian TV station “8TV”.

After completing the compilation album, he advances his Dj career at Screwball. During his residence at Screwball, he organized a series of successful events in The State of Penang Island called Celestial Noise Elevation. The first event was so successful which fans couldn’t get enough and kept wanting more which he continued with Celestial Noise Elevation 2, Celestial Noise Elevation 3, Urban Volume 1, and Urban Volume 2. All these gigs received very good responses from the audiences and he played a huge role in the Malaysian Hip-Hop community, because the entire event involved a huge number of established local Malaysian acts such like Teh Tarik Crew, Junior Hustle, Damian From V.E, etc.

Year 2005, Laze move on forward and was held his residencies at R&B Pub and Bistro. During his period there, he was also contracted as a performer for the TV program “Blastoff 2” by Astro Hitz.Tv together with the group called “Lazy Laze” which is one of the Top 10 groups selected Nationwide for this particular Tv program. In that particular year, Laze was invited to perform as a guest Dj in “Planet Rock” Ipoh and also followed on as the in house Dj for a massive event “Party With the Stars” presented by Celcom Communication and organized by Starfriendz. Taiwanese and Hong Kong Artistes and Celebrities such as Landy Wen, Michael Tong, Paul Pui, Mark Cheng, The Invisible Men, Fang Jiong Bin, Dj Tzpun (HK DMC Champion) also played a role in this event and Laze was also one of the spotlights featured in this event.

Beginning of the year 2007, Dj Laze joined the biggest club in the northern region of Malaysia Vivo the Dance Club. Because of the numbers of the outlets owned by this group of company in Malaysia, Laze have played in Bed KL, Mois Penang and currently Laze became the resident Dj in “Dream Live Music Station”. At the same time, Laze also did the opening for a number of international Djs and local Djs at “Dream Live Music Station”.

During summer of 2009, Laze took part in the “Malaysia Club DJ Mixing Challenge 2009 (MCDMC 09’)” and became one of the national finalists for this competition. Laze majors in genres of music such like R&B, Hip-Hop & Electro.

At the year of 2011, Laze joined one of the hotspot club in Penang. Located at Upper Penang Road “Voodoo Penang”

Dj Laze is still fresh compared to international standards and is willing to learn more to improve the art of Djing to satisfy the needs of clubbers, audiences, fans, and party-goers worldwide.
