A-ROX came into being only a year ago but Alex (a.k.a Dj A) and Rayrox have been friends for years. They first met in Malacca, which was also where both picked up DJ-ing. With different motivations, both Alex and Ray got their first DJ-ing gig at Peppermint Bistro.

It's been from strength to strength since. Both have been involved in each other's individual career paths. They were colleagues at Pure Bar Malacca (voted Best Bar/Pub by Choons Awards) before they got spotted by Zouk Club KL (voted Best Club by Juice & Choons Awards). Dj A was the resident dj of Mambo Jambo & F.A.B at Velvet Underground while Rayrox was the resident dj of Ghetto Heaven and Flava at Phuture. And now residencing in Milk Club Bangsar, the two of them have come together as A-ROX. Their musical strengths are at world's end, with Dj A being the retro maestro and Rayrox holding down the fort with hip hop & RnB and with a common love for electro from the both. All of this different influences will only mean a greater n wider range of artistes and genres to play from.

Their different music tastes also suits their current passion perfectly in DVJ-ing. For the uninitiated, DVJ-ing in a nutshell refers to DJ-ing by mixing music videos. A-ROX is unique because they currently create their own music video mash-ups to popular songs and these mashed up vids are stored in a collection called the Milk Crate Volume 1 which is the first ever music video mixtape in Malaysia.
