Dj deF a.k.a Sheldon Gerard Tay  first started DJing at the tender age of 18. Playing Indie and rock music alongside Dance and Hip Hop anthems. He started off by playing school parties and prom nights. After graduate from high school, Sheldon started to get offers of DJ ing work for a number of private parties and also gigs regarding his university events.
He continues a long line of DJs to have emerge from a Pure Bar apprenticeship.  Spawned out of a passion for music, he started DJ as an apprentice at Pure Bar. Having paid his dues in the early years he has quickly risen to grace their main sets in just 2 year and has firmly established himself as the crowds’ favourite resident DJ. He sets the dance floor alight with his crowd pleasing music selections of Hip Hop and R & B tracks on a weekly basis.
While at Pure Bar he has developed a keen interest for dance music and share the decks among several established local dance music DJs such as Ray Soo, Dj Gabriel, DJ Blink, DJ Afen, Joey G & Victor G.
He is continuing his development as a DJ by warming up and occasionally sharing the decks with some of Malaysia’s finest Hip Hop DJs such as DJ Nesh and DJ Fuzz . Recently he organize a brand new ladies night “Grown & Sexy” along side with Mc Dareyno . With his passion to play quality music irrespective of the genre expect him to mature into one of the best in the local scene.
