SCREAM, the largest horror-themed outdoor party which rocked Sunway Township during the final hours of October, attracted thousands of thrill seeking party goers to unite in the spirit of Halloween dressed up as movie and urban legend inspired characters.

The atmosphere in Sunway Lagoon Theme Park was filled with a nerve tantalising eeriness as scary music engulfed the air whilst various characters ranging from blood-thirsty vampires, evil villains to fearsome ghosts, gathered around the Elephant Walk.

The thrill seekers were also seen congregating around the SCREAM bar and Horror Canteen, stuffing their guts with the Freaky Delicacies, namely Creepy Witches’ Fingers, French Toes, Wormy Deviled Eggs and Spooky Sandwiches, and signature SCREAMTAILS , namely SCREAM Slime, SoCo Lava, SoCo Hearse and SoCo Eyes.

The sight of the living-dead chomping down finger-like cookies and bloody sausages, and other creatures gobbling up colourful concoctions filled with wormy ‘cincau’ and lychee eyeballs, was simply phenomenal.  The creepy sensation was heightened sporadically by the sound of petrified screams; as the professionally trained scare actors pulled their stunts amongst the crowd and preyed on the fearful.

The excitement climaxed when names of the male and female best dressed characters was announced. The crowd went wild when the creatively dressed pair was awarded a total cash prize of RM 1000.

 

In the midst of all the activities, a talented line-up of bands and DJs was on-ground to entertain the crowd.  S.A.D. was the first to rock out their hearts and souls, followed by Y2k with its energetic on-stage repertoire. Soon after, the audience was hopping and bopping to the blasting vibes of Beat the System and One Buck Short.

 

 

 

The night was pushed to another level of exuberance when DJ N_Droid performed.  Rob Nutek’s freaky beats swept the crowd off their dancing feet; and Joey G’s ingenious remixes held the crowd spellbound until the end.
