The Pioneer Digital DJ Battle is all about discovering new talents for local club scene in Malaysia. Since it was held in Malaysia in 2003, the annual event is organized by Pioneer and co-sponsored by its partners with the goal is to discover and nurture young Malaysian talents, giving them a much needed push towards local and international recognition in the Deejaying world.

Pioneer Digital DJ Battle first initiated by a group of party-crazy, audio-savvy Pioneer ProDJ executives in Orlando, Florida, a city where hip-pop music, clubbing and dejaying are part of the popular culture. Since then, it has flourished around the globe in countries where Pioneer sets foot in.

To participate, aspiring contestants must send in their demo CDs with completed entry form to Pioneer no later than 31 October 2011. The competition is break into 2 categories, which are ‘Mega Mix Battle’ and ‘Long Mix Battle”. Only the top 5 contestant for each category will be selected to battle it out in the Grand Final, which will be held at Zouk Club, Kuala Lumpur on 9 December 2011.

We anticipate this year’s battle to be even better and fiercer. The Pioneer Digital DJ battle is already a much anticipated annual event and the prizes are going to be more attractive, with more sponsors joining the fray.

So, what will the winner of the Pioneer Digital DJ Battle 2011 get? The Top 3 Winners will spin their way to the total prizes worth RM60,000*! Apart from awesome prizes and various sponsorships, the winner will automatically qualify for the Asian Pioneer Digital Battle 2011 - an international “Battle of the Champions” from participating Asian countries.
