Headlined by the largest DJ line-up in SpeedZone history, namely Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules, Nic Fanciulli, Tall Paul, Alexander Technique, Ricky Stone, Daniele Davoli, Joey G and Eugene, Speedzone Tour 2009 has once again delivered the most spellbinding off-circuit aural experience to over 10,000 revelers at KL Tower that was overwhelmed with thrilling audible energy and velocity! Speedzone Tour 09, the official Malaysian Grand Prix dance festival, was held at the most emblematic and stylish setting of KL Tower to mark its 6th grandeur celebration of the world-class race in Malaysia. Different from previous years, the venue was revamped to accommodate two supercharged floors, the Speed Arena and Red Arena, that summed up to 5,000 sq/ft in dance area. Well before sunset, Joey G set the pace for the night at the Speed Arena with his remarkable garaged-notes before Daniele Davoli took the deck. While the glitz and glamour lingered into the night with Daniele’s remixes, there was a significant notch up in temperature, absolute effects of Paul Oakenfold. When the legend stepped up, his mere presence garnered awesome acclaims from the crowd. As promised, Paul performed numerous tracks from his latest production, the Pop Killer album that was freshly out from the recording studio, and this extraordinary treat led the crowd to euphoric heights.  Â
The irresistibly charming Judge Jules escalated the heat of the night with his zealous tunes, magically produced behind the turn-table on the Speed Arena when the maestro took charge after mid-night. Setting off exuberance that shot the night to its peak, Judge was indeed the man to count on for a hard yet fantasy finale.  It was a slightly different yet equally scorching scene over at the Red Arena, as DJ Eugene first delivered some very fervid welcome in his opening set, pacing the tempo for DJ Alexander Technique. Alexander pumped up the house with his creatively mashed up tunes and made it an effortless entry for Tall Paul to throw more aggressive tunes to the floor. Another climax surfaced from the sleepless night when Nic Fanciulli stomped the grounds with infectious deep tech and dark grooves. While the revelers kept up with the progressively hard beats, Ricky Stone cracked the limit when he conquered the turntable for the very first time in Malaysia. Stone’s gyration of musical swiftness created an adrenalin-filled night of speed and power, which led to a histrionic climax at the end of this celebration.  Â
At the strike of midnight, the sky above KL Tower exploded with an intricate display of fireworks specially choreographed to the pulsating tempo. The massive visual surprise mesmerised all with a pleasant note of astonishment, and lent a touch of festivity to the night. Impressively huge DJ line-up, a variety of non-stop great music, adrenaline pumping motorsports games and over 10,000 of fanatical fans turn-up at one night, Speedzone Tour 2009 was undeniably one of the most invigorating dance festivals this season!
