We have Mr. Fluff for this October in the Clubber's Guide column. Bo Amir Iqram is his real name, with a big hairstyle, he was a talented music producer, musician, DJ and host in Malaysia. He was first recognized when he teamed up with veteran DJ, Joey G and created CosmicSpaceMunkys, who emerged as champions in Heineken Thirst Studio back in 2006.
In 2009, he gave himself a stage name as Mr. Fluff, from there, he started focusing on DJ-ing and producing tracks in House, Deep House, Progressive House and has had several international releases under well known labels such as Love International (Raysoo), Flesh Recordings, Movement Recordings, 220V Digital Recording (Nicky C) and more. Things goes well after that and he won the title as Music Producer of The Year in the Choons Awards.
Mr. Fluff has worked with Australia's biggest dance music label, Vicious Records and released his track named Louder, a collaboration with The Cut & Mind Electric. The track was played and supported by big name DJs, David Guetta. The response are massive, the tracks have been played internationally and locally through radio shows.
In late 2011, Mr. Fluff has started his own record label called Pixelated Waves which brings sound from all sorts of genres of dance music such as House, Progressive House, Electro, Tech House, Deep House, Indie Dance and also other genres such as Jazz, Folk, Rock and more. With artists such as Mr. Fluff, IMMA*BLEEP*YOUUP!!!, RECovery, Bedroom Sanctuary and a few more upcoming names from the music scene, the initial idea is to spread great music from all over the world to the people without questioning the sounds. Alright, we've done searching for the 'Know Your Malaysian DJ Guide' next featured DJ. She's so unique for being the one and only female dj in KL spinning RNB, Hip Hop to Electro House with latest video mixing technology alongside with MC. Introducing our dj friend, Jerryca Misty. It has been awhile Clubbing9 featured her, back then in 2009, she performed for Clubbing9 Night events and now we're back this time with DJ Misty, something new that you should know!
As for Nigel Sparks, DJ Misty's partner, he is a talented rapper who has performed side by side and featured in Point Blanc's song 'Pay Day'. Nigel also has his own fashion label Negative, a streetwear brand that is widely available in retail outlets in Malaysia. His new official music video Prove Em Wrong is out now for viewing!
Jerryca Misty has teamed up with MC Nigel Sparks this year as they performed along during their gigs and parties. Whenever you see DJ Misty dj-ing on the decks, MC Nigel Sparks will be there rapping to hype up the crowd. Do check them out every Friday night at Rootz KL @ Lot 10 Bukit Bintang. |
This is the first time she's being featured in our website and here we have DJane Geri for the next Know Your Malaysian DJ Guide #11. Music is her passion and she immersed in music for many years. DJane Geri first started of with music as trained voilinist and pianist then made her first footstep in the DJ scenes in Malaysia, from Kuala Lumpur to Sabah & Sarawak. Having massive gigs in Malaysia, Djane Geri spun electro, hip hop, and dance music in the decks. As a self-taught DJ, she has her own styles and skills.

Lets get over the weekend with the ultimate clubbers guide in Know Your Malaysian DJ #9. The month for September 2011 is just one week ahead and also '9' is the number represent the month. Alright lets get straight to the point now, we want our clubbers to know more about the man that being DJing since 2005, plays progressive, techno, uplifting trance and have spinned alongside with great DJs such as John ‘00’ Fleming, Alex MORPH, Jochen Miller, JES Brieden, Sied van Riel, Roger Shah, Arnej, Nifra, Keli Hart.
misterAriffin has been recognized not only locally, but also internationally. He has been spinning around clubs in KL, travels as far to Jakarta for gigs and organised great events in Kuala Lumpur such as Tranceformer, Digital Didge, Klubbers.Net Initial Party, just to name a few. misterAriffin spread his wings even further when he was honored to headline ULTIMATE DANCE in Bar Club, one of the biggest dance nights in Kuala Lumpur starting from the month of September 2008. In 2010, can be said as his highlight year as a DJ, whereby misterAriffin has been entrusted as one of the headliners for Malaysia's premier trance night, TRANCE NATION @ Euphoria, Ministry of Sound. He is inarguably one of the best raising Trance DJ in the local EDM and nightlife industry in the recent years.
misterAriffin started his own monthly progressive and trance night in Space Club KL, which is called ILLUMINATION and it has already set the benchmark for one of the most well received local dance event in Kuala Lumpur. After a few weeks of waiting, here we have the lucky #8 featured in Know Your Malaysian DJ Guide section for August 2011. Since his first DJ debut in year 2008, He was given multiple platform gradually in well known clubs in Kuala Lumpur which strike an opportunity to build his fan base behind the decks. Hosting club nights with his DJ acquaintances, he has since enjoyed immense success to moving crowds with his musical styles. An addition, he was entrusted to do an opening set for International recognized DJ’s such as Kim Fai & Angger Dimas.
Arzuk not only spins different styles and genre of music but also keen towards creating and producing which gave him more tools to pave his way towards the musical path. Arzuk was given a chance to get his mix set on international radio show called The Warehouse on Australian radio Fresh FM 92.7.
